First Fleet Project

With funding from the Australian National Maritime Museum through the Maritime Museums of Australia Project Support Scheme, The Dictionary now has exciting new First Fleet content, including a thematic essay by Professor Gary Sturgess and ten ship profiles by Nicole Cama, Penny Edwell, Michaela Cameron and David Morgan. These entries join our existing entry on HMS Sirius by Garry Wotherspoon.

We are grateful to the Australian National Maritime Museum for their assistance in increasing our coverage of the First Fleet. Thank you to our authors, contributors, and editor Emma Grahame.
